Some of riders had gone on the weekend overnight run to Bathurst and a shorter trip to Gunning was the preferred destination for today’s run. We all headed up the Federal Highway then through Sutton Village onto Gundaroo, we stopped at the Old Hume Café in Gunning our usual watering hole. This café is a bike friendly place with several other riders stopping for refreshments as well as the usual locals.

The new bridge work just outside Gunning which I’ve mentioned in previous reports is progressing well. All main beams are now installed and the road surface reinforcing mesh is now being laid. Road ramping ground work from the Sutton end is in progress and the other Gunning end is still to be done, once the heavy cranes are offsite.

A pleasant couple of hours was spent chatting and partaking of refreshments. We discussed a few arrangements for attending the Shoalhaven Kickstart Rally over the Queens Birthday weekend on the 6 – 8 June. We left around 1.20pm in smaller groups travelling back home in different directions. The journey from the EPIC Rally point to Gunning was 60 km. A round trip of about 120 – 150 km.
