Well, today started warm and sunny with clear blue skies and a temperature of 16c. What a change from last week's conditions. Three of our usual members were on sick parade and unable to ride with us today, so our numbers were down a bit.

In view of the pending weather change later in the afternoon we decided a shorter destination was in order. Lorraine headed the group off along the Federal Highway turning off at the Sutton junction and through Sutton Village turning right at Chingle Hill Way, crossing the Federal Highway again and left onto Bungendore Road.

We arrived at our usual establishment after covering 54km. To our surprise Logan's Café was closed. So, we tried another venue, we were please to find that Gardy's Café is now opened on Wednesday. It's under new management and closed on Tuesday's only. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the pleasant weather, snacks and coffee were ordered. Stan recommends the hot and strong coffee over that supplied by Logan's Café, the food and service was good and staff pleasant, we'll now have a couple of venue choices when we next visit.

Floyd made a brief visit to the photographic exhibition held at the Bungendore Woodwork gallery he joined us again before the second round of coffee was ordered. The conversation was lively and the mechanical information exchanged very useful. We decided to leave around 12.45pm before the weather deteriorated. The ride home was via Macs Reef Road and the Federal Highway, the skies by now were overcast with rain clouds rolling in.

Stan had a fuel starvation problem on his bike which was running rough under load on the way home, a bit more time in the shed ah. We arrived back around 1.15pm after covering 87km to the Rallying point.

I didn't take any photographs this week and have included a 'blast from the past', if you haven't guest who the person is in those old photographs over the last few weeks, I must confess, it is the from the writers not-so historical bike collection.
