Great day for a ride, the weather was perfect. On the ride today we decided to meet up with The Usual Suspects (US) at Honeysuckle Creek (HSC). Since this is a BBQ venue with no catering facilities we headed for Watson shops to stock up with the necessary provisions before the commencement of the ride. At five dollars a head we had enough food for a banquette, after distributing the shopping among the bikes that had panniers fitted (thank goodness for the BMW riders) we headed for the new GDE then onto the Tuggeranong Parkway and then onto the Cotter Road. After this boring stretch of poor condition road network with road works and delays at every junction. A more pleasant leg of the journey lay before us, then onto Tharwa and HSC.

A pleasant time was had by all chatting to The Usual Suspect riders and enjoying the BBQ and warm weather conditions. After a couple of hours we headed for home mostly by the shorter route up through Tuggeranong Town Centre.

This was a very successful joint venture; it was agreed by all that we should repeat it in the future on the US shorter rides at around (160-200kms).
