Apologies: John Broad; Peter Davy; Phil Dawes; Lorraine Lister & Denis Murphy

Rally point: 10.00am from the Shell Fuel Station at EPIC

On this week's ride we planned to meet up with the Usual Suspects for a joint BBQ. While assembling at our rallying point Peter Davy dropped by for a chat before leaving to travel to Sydney for a gearbox replacement on his Honda 2000. Stan had an early afternoon appointment and withdrew as did Geoff with a head gasket leak on his Honda Special.

We made our way onto the Barton Highway heading for Yass, where we stopped for coffee and to purchase food and drinks for the BBQ. After leaving Yass on the Hume Highway again then turning left onto the entry road leading to the Burrinjuck Lake we encountered a delightful section of road with twisting hilly and descending sections and a few dangerous drop offs on some tight U bends where care and caution was required.

On arrival at the main gate just after we had paid our entry charge of $4 each (no discount for seniors either), we saw the Usual Suspects' departing and acknowledged their passing with waves which they exchanged as they passed.

We left after a couple of hours felling well satisfied with a good lunch and engaging conversation ready for the homeward journey. I had to make a refuelling stop at Yass, we all travelled homeward in a convey group departing at various points near the GDE turn off. No incidents were incurred on this ride and everybody arrived home safely, I had a speedometer reading of 265km on reaching home.

The last three reports have been delayed being posted through hard drive failure and replacement and with internet problems with a new wireless router installation - That's my excuse.
