A small group departed up the Highway from the EPIC ex-servo just after 10 and a top up of his R100 tank by Floyd.
The journey was via Sutton, Shingle Hill Way, across the Highway to Bungendore Road, onto Bardy's at Bungendore for an early lunch.
The return trip was via the alternative route (towards Hoskinstown) meeting the Captains Flat road before passing through Queanbeyan and back to respective homes before 1pm.
The small audience heard the first account of the Vietnam ride by Denis and 5 of his relatives, which included two vets returning after 40 years and different circumstances.
Denis commented about the vastly different riding conditions there, including riding at much slower speeds then he was used to mainly on the RHS of the road and the need to dodge the other road users where size has right of way on the highways and in the towns and villiages millions of step-thru motor bikes appear like intermeshing stream of ants, punctuated by push bikes, cows, buffalos and young people.
