Report
Today's route took us via Mac's Reef and Bungandore Roads to Bungendore and Bardies café for a morning coffee break. Thereafter the ride progressed to the Greengrocer café at Goulburn via Tarago.

Lorraine took the lead and set a nice easy pace, handing over to Len at Goulburn for a stealthy S-bend approach up past the cathedral and back down to the rear parking lot of the café. OK as well as a café it is also a push bike sale and repair shop as well as selling vegies and fruit, and caters for crying babies with a nice padded kiddies room that can be closed off while retaining visibility of the café patrons.

The nine riders settled themselves comfortably around the soft arm chair furniture of the kiddies room, that being the only set of seats left that would accommodate all. As the food arrived it was observed that some whose names will be protected, indulged themselves deeply in the generous portions ordered, keeping up the honourable practices of pre-GFC/diet times.

Conversation was as expected, bikes, bikes and more bikes (there was a woman present) though Denis sitting quietly in the corner, was heard practicing his Viet Nam presentation due to be given to two audiences of relatives later in the day.

At 1.30 and the lunch crowd dispersing, the group disengaged itself from the comfort of the lounge chairs and snaked its way back through the café chairs and bikes out the back not forgetting to thank the busy ladies in the café for their good food and service.

While most retraced their path back via Tarago, two purposefully took the faster more direct route back down the highway.

The day was a little windy at times but otherwise big, bright and beautiful - life is good!!

Denis Murphy
