Report
What a great day for a ride!! It was temperate, clear and sunny with a few clouds building later in the day. The only grey cloud at the start from Epic ex-servo was that our team captain Leonardo was not with us. He was enjoying a well earned holiday at the coast, away from all the retaining wall work he has been doing in the garden. No doubt he was soaking his blistered hands in the salt water.

The Moonrock Café at Tidbinbilla tracking station was the focus for today's ride and the pre-ride discussion considered the devious ways we might get there, including possible diversions and dalliances along the way as far away as Googong Dam. Such musings were soon put to an end by Lorraine who, showing great leadership, took us via the GDE on to the Cotter Rd from which we turned on to Uriarra Road and well you know the rest of the way. Stan would have really enjoyed this ride too!!

Lunching was a little early and restrained (after last week's pig-out), leaving the group with energy for a bit more riding before heading homeward. The group continued towards Thawa and apart from a few with higher priority needs, took the turn off up Corin Dam road.

We pulled in to the Gibraltar Falls picnic spot and climbed down to admire the falls, only to interrupt a couple enjoying some privacy. The young lady being very patient and understanding, offered to take our group photograph and after doing so, with the falls in our background, saw us safely retreat back up the climb to the parking lot.

We hung around there a good while talking about and admiring Rod's lovely 82 Honda 750, bought for a song via e-bay.

After having sufficiently refocussed on bikes and recovered our breath, we set off back via Point Hut crossing to our respective destinations.
